Update your links to our new web address. Why the new district names? Circle Ten Council realized that many of the districts were out of balance. Some were large and difficult to handle, others were smaller and did not have enough resources to accomplish the mission. To this end, almost all the districts were realigned to make them more manageably sized. All districts affected by the realignment selected new names. Gray Owl district was divided and Rockwall ISD is now part of a new district. Our new "Duck Creek" name was selected by choosing from names sumitted by youth members of our units. Duck Creek District is part of Circle Ten Council in the Dallas Texas area. The district serves the residents of Garland Independant School District, which includes the communitites of Garland, Rowlett, and Sachse, Texas. The mission of Scouting is to prepare young people to make ethical choices over their lifetimes by instilling the values of the Scout Oath and Law. Duck Creek District delivers this to the youth in our area. We provide the resources and training to our leaders and youth to enable them to bring this mission to life.
